There is something known as networking model which define the representation of network operation. The networking model is not the actual network. It just gives us an idea that how the entire operation is take place.
There is two types of networking model OSI reference model and TCP/IP reference model. Well TCP/IP is more reliable and briefly discussed below. These all protocol layer are constituent of TCP/IP reference model.
